🏍️ Black Stallion Split Cowhide Wrap-Around Helmet Bib AH5040-BK Review

Works well after modification, just had to trim a few sides. I use a Viking 3350 and the lip expands the chest a lot. Otherwise it works great and I even forgot it was there.

I like the product. Seems well done. If this product were about 8 inches longer, it would block light coming from the sides of the helmet. That's where it occurs most often. But otherwise a very good product.

Quality product. Easy installation. Prevents light reflection from clothing and hood. Protects the neck from burns when shrink-wrapping a T-shirt. The only downside is the need to manually close the hood tight when looking straight down due to the extra material. Love it. Does exactly what I needed.

Looks silly and wish it was a little thicker but it's much better than velcro or drilled holes in the hood. People complain that it's not long enough, but there's a lot of good stuff for me. It's quite heavy on its own to be honest, and while I would have preferred it to be thicker, I don't think I could carry that much weight on the hood all day. I've tried several welding bibs, these Black Stallion bibs are very good. Clips are easy to attach and stay in place. The two photos I've attached are of BLACK Stallion leather (this item) and BLACK Stallion Navy reversible fabric. I loved reversible fabrics until I found this leather version. I like it. Well last week my flash blew out a couple of times. It got so bad that I lay 1 day. I thought it was the hood, too low a dimming level, or a weak battery, but it wasn't. It turned out that this glow was coming from both my chest under the hood and my partner across the table. I chose this bib based on the price, style and three-sided coverage. Perfect. This bib works great! I bought this because I recently bought a respirator for welding and the respirator works great but when I wear it my shield doesn't go all the way down which means the arc light is creeping out from under my shield giving me an unexpected one flare up from time to time.
