Enhanced Performance with BLACKHORSE-RACING 4-Inch Exhaust System Review

The stock MAF sensor didn't fit and the filter they sent started coming loose and strings were dangling in my intake. I had to buy a $40 Specter Cone air filter from AutoZone and use that filter and the adapters that came with it to assemble everything. But other than that the steel has a nice finish, holes for attaching coolant hoses and fits my car perfectly.

I have no complaints about this kit. It sat in a box on my floor for a week before I took it out to install. It is easy to install with little know-how. I found that the clutch that connects to the mass air flow was a bit broken. (Plastic) I didn't care, I'm used to modifying parts or cars to fit properly, I work on rot and rust for a living (car mechanic), this kit was defiantly worth its price.

So I installed it on my 03 suburb. I was a bit skeptical based on some of the reviews but I went for it. So the installation was very easy and I watched a YouTube video about this product comparing K and N consumption. Well, they scored exactly the same. Literally the same. It also gives my truck a nice sound in the cabin. I noticed that my gas mileage got better and I increased power a bit. It's definitely worth the money and an all around great product.

I was skeptical at first as it costs a quarter less than the leading brands, but I was deeply impressed. After upgrading my cam, valve springs and exhaust, my truck continued to choke on the factory intake. When I put this Blackhorse Racing CAI on, it was the difference between day and night. I read many reviews before buying. A few things to watch out for. As I said, take your time. I took a lot of people's advice and spent a few bucks on stronger clamps. (the ones that come with it are awful) took out an old filter box and then laid out everything I needed to make it work. After reading mixed reviews I decided to try this set as the price wasn't easy. In the end these kits are nothing more than a pipe, some clamps, fittings and a filter. The kit was easy to put together, the instructions were concise and simple, and the MAF fitted seamlessly into the kit without even being separated.
