Software doesn't recognize cards

While the card is great, the problem is in the software. I actually have an older Intensity Pro for secondary recording. I had to downgrade the software to 10.9.5 for both cards to be recognized. However, they don't always do this. Looks like I'll have to reboot the machine to get both cards working. The video setting doesn't show them, although Device Manager does. I need to check the setting before doing anything else or I need to stop everything to restart my computer. After that, they work…

Didn't work at all.

Installed, the computer does not recognize what is there. Black magic doesn't exist. I printed the manual for this particular model and it had NOTHING to do with this model. I'm not saying it's a bad company, just a bad part

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

It works for 1080p60

Since the DeckLink Mini I originally ordered only supports 1080p30 and my camcorder doesn't have a selectable frame rate, tech support helped me figure out I needed this guy. It worked great and I highly recommend BlackMagic products, great tech support and community!

Good results but requires dkms for Linux

Generally good if you run it, but the driver for it requires downloading their software package and installing a kernel module via dkms (which many distros don't have). in their primary repositories).

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • sad packaging

Excellent video capture card TB3!

Super quality is expected from a renowned video equipment manufacturer! It's difficult to set up on newer Macs (no need to change your security settings). The video quality with my Sony A7RIII full frame camera is amazing. I wanted to record videos in 4K. Because this device uses TB3 over a PCIe connection, I can now record excellent quality videos in this format, which requires high system performance. I recommend using a Sonnet PCIe box for the required number of ports (I went with a card as…

Installed and up and running in minutes

I installed this card and it was immediately recognized by my computer. The Avid Media Composer recording works great, as does the Media Express software.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrived

Works with sony a7rii and OBS live stream

wanted to buy something like camlink el gato but for an extra $60 it does 4k and works great with my sony a7rii a7r2. Needs bug fixing but nothing new. You must manually set the OBS, camera and Blackmagic software to the same settings or they will not work. You only have to set it up once and it works day in, day out. See photos. Be sure to download the drivers and software called Blackmagic Desktop Video Setup. Make sure the camera's quality/resolution settings match those of the Black Magic…

Excellent picture quality on Windows, PITA on Linux

I bought this to zoom with my DSLR on a computer that boots Linux and Windows at the same time. From the side of the windows the picture is perfect and everything works fine. 10/10 It's a pain on the Linux side. This only works when installing drivers that need to be reinstalled every time you update the kernel. The software freezes. I got lame (low res) but eventually gave up. I only use a regular webcam when using Linux. I'm not familiar enough with technical reasons, but I wish hardware…
