wanted to buy something like camlink el gato but for an extra $60 it does 4k and works great with my sony a7rii a7r2. Needs bug fixing but nothing new. You must manually set the OBS, camera and Blackmagic software to the same settings or they will not work. You only have to set it up once and it works day in, day out. See photos. Be sure to download the drivers and software called Blackmagic Desktop Video Setup. Make sure the camera's quality/resolution settings match those of the Black Magic Desktop software. Regardless of whether you have a 4k camera or your 4k camera takes 1080 60 frames. Camera and software must be installed with the same number. Add a video capture device in OBS. Click Properties. Click Customize Video and check Override Video Mode. Then got a signal. I used 64-bit Windows 10 and 64-bit OBS.
