Not as good as good for Car Audio

Pioneer. Someone here said it was better so I bought it because it was half the price but I compared it side by side with a 4 way 6.5 inch pioneer and the sound wasn't as clear and some others were missing Sounds that didn't come out or were filtered out.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I will add later

1 burned out, 1 is ok.

Looks good but one speaker fell out of the box. The other speaker worked, but rather weakly. very tinny sound. I would not recommend these speakers at all. I settled on some 6 3/4 kickers that sound 100 times better for not a lot more money.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Damaged

These speakers can't be beat for the price.

EDIT UPDATE: A speaker exploded. The top rating is not accurate. These speakers can't be beat for the price. 120W nominal, up to 360W peak. They sound even better than the Pioneer 4-way 6.5" speakers I bought and are half the price of the Pioneer speakers. I definitely recommend these speakers.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Volume

Nice speaker in coaxial speakers

I bought these speakers to replace the OEM speakers in my GMC Acadia. WOW, what's the difference, more bass, more mids and more treble. I was completely blown away by how CHEAP and tiny the factory speakers were. Very happy with these speakers, for the price you can't get better! The only reason I gave it 3 stars for "easy to install" is because I had to do a custom install to an existing speaker enclosure. For me, this is not critical and is not due to the new speakers.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Secret

Replaced some factory RV speakers

These were a direct replacement for the horrible factory speakers that came in our RV. I managed to unscrew the speakers in the ceiling, connect the wires to them and screw them back into the same holes. The sound is 100% better. I can actually hear some bass now, and the mids are fuller too. I also added a 600W Rockville RW8CA 8" car subwoofer with under seat amplifier + wiring harness and the sound in the RV is much better even with the same head unit!

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Speakers are ok. suitable for car audio

I combined these speakers with a new JVC head unit and several Blaupunkt 6x9 and was very happy with the result. Good bass, clear mids and highs. If you want something that you can consistently max out, this might not be for you. I've also read that some people say they have fake tweeters and that's not true. All I can say is that they sound great for rock, country and Christian rock and I've heard them pretty loud. I don't think you can do better for the money. I would buy them again.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very pleased - Speakers

These speakers fit directly into the factory holes in all 4 doors of my Toyota Matrix. Works great, no quality issues. I was disappointed (expected more) with their performance until I added an amplifier (Tarramps DS800X4) to my system. The male! Isn't that the difference? If you drive them with 136 watts, they thunder! Good bass reproduction and crisp highs. If you're driving a factory head unit at around 18W don't worry, but if you're looking for a responsive speaker at around 100-150W then…

Pros
  • Solid Finish
Cons
  • Frequency

Perfect factory retrofit for older cars

I installed these on my 2007 Hyundai Accent to replace the falling apart factory speakers. They are used in conjunction with a Sony aftermarket DVD stereo system. With slight EQ and crossover adjustments, they produce a nice clean sound even at fairly high volumes. The tweeter isn't as robust as the woofer and is the first to distort between the two, again at fairly high volumes. I have had speakers from Pioneer, Alpine, JVC, JBL and many more. They all had their ups and downs. I would rate…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Useless features
