Backup alarm failed/failed within days of use

I bought 20 of these backup alarms for use with company trucks at a construction site. Of the 20 I bought, only about 3 are still working properly. Most alarm clocks didn't work at all, or only worked a few days before failing. Whilst I have purchased additional alarms in case some of them fail or become damaged, I did not expect that 85% of the backup alarms I have purchased are defective/completely non-functional. I am very disappointed in this product and do not recommend buying these alarmโ€ฆ

Good for the money: spare parts

Good light for the money so far. I like that it connects/mounts directly to the 7-pin connector and doesn't use a hitch. It is small and light enough to be easily stowed in a truck. The included light bulb is reasonably bright, but gets very hot. I replaced it with an upgraded MR16 LED bulb for brighter/whiter light with less heat. Removing the transparent cover takes some patience (there's a small slot above the heat exit hole that you can insert a small screwdriver into) but is fairlyโ€ฆ

Annoying as hell! Yes, thanks.

I have a relatively new truck, I like it, but I haven't been tripped over in any of them through no fault of my own. I have a camera, LED taillights, reverse warning light and bump stop (working) and watch mirrors and cameras. But one day I had to replace my bumper when some idiot in a 3/4 ton truck hit me with his hitch because he was distracted by the kids. I was so happy I got it, I just wish I could make it even louder. Every comment I received said it was annoying and noisy so I'm glad you

Works perfectly! I will buy more for Christmas gifts.

Update: 11/26/17. Will no longer work this summer, the lamp is not serviceable. Instead I bought 1260 lumen LED replacement bulbs. Much happier with them so far. Works perfectly! I will buy more for Christmas gifts for my family members. Fits snugly into the 7-pin connector and stays in motion across fields and gravel paths. I have traveled over 1000 miles with the network connected. I've used it while hunting and it worked great for field baiting when set to 'utility'. The pictures were takenโ€ฆ

Warning lights off required on new GMC trucks

UPDATE: No longer works. It took exactly 5 months. While it worked, it was beautiful. Rating to 3 stars. I hooked it up to my 2011 GMC Yukon and it works when I put it in reverse. Switch off the ignition. I started getting the alarm back but figured I'd try disabling all of the entry and exit security settings in the GMC controls so the light never comes on when I approach or exit. This made the alarm work properly. I won't have a light to help me see how to get into the house or find my wayโ€ฆ

Works as intended but needs an overhaul

This is for backup signalling, not backup light options. It works exactly as described but there is room for improvement. The 'head' appears to be much larger than needed for backup signaling, making it a larger target for pebbles or other road debris (only time will tell). Because it's made of black plastic, it gets very hot in direct sunlight. The beep is much faster than what you hear on heavy device, making it a bit more annoying than it needs to be to get attention. Luckily in my case (aโ€ฆ

Fits what it's designed for

Just bought this for my father in law because he keeps plugging his trailer in after the sun goes down. I would have given 5 stars but decided to give 4 due to small design flaws. The light connected flawlessly and really stuck in the slot of my 2016 F150. The light, although bright, resembles a headlight more than a headlight. The connector for the F150 is located in the center of the truck so the light fills in between the flashes of the red brake lights. As I said, I would have liked moreโ€ฆ

Simple, economical add-on for more rear lighting

This is a cheap, economical add-on that plugs straight into your towbar socket. No wiring or additional installation required. The amount of light is about 70% of the low beam of your halogen headlights or about 500 lumens. 500 lumens is about twice as much light. That's about 3x the Six Cell D Maglight, which is enough to light up the rear. Compared to the stock reverse lights on my car which have 3156 bulbs, they appear to be 50% brighter. The reasons for this light are: - Extra light forโ€ฆ
