This does an excellent job of defrosting food within a reasonable amount of time. It would be worth 5 stars. However, there are 2 things that I think lower the rating. First, I don't like the silicone strips on the ends of the tray - they fall off easily and aren't that easy to replace, so I decided to ditch them. I had some frozen dumplings last night and put them in the fridge but they still haven't thawed. good luck Then I remembered Blaisin's Thaw. I regret not taking before and after photos with time stamps to show it really works! I got this product a few days ago and wanted to see how it works soon. I took a frozen New York steak, about an inch thick, straight out of the freezer and placed it on the defrosting tray. They recommend turning the food every 10-20 minutes to help it defrost evenly. So I researched and paid for Blazin' Thaly defrost. Well, I get it and I'm actually not very happy. "Pointed" or cut from below. I don't know why - maybe to increase the surface area. But if you stretch the metal the tray actually becomes thinner than the 3mm tray I already have - maybe 2mm thick in my opinion. See attached photos for comparison.
