Since they were so cheap I wasn't expecting too much. I needed space for two glasses in the kitchen, and the silver "color" suited my technique. Make no mistake, they are fabric, not metal. These holders are very light (like plastic with textured material), but the base is so wide and strong that it's very difficult to tip over. The glasses fit well, are soft and smooth on the inside with no weird fur on the inside, and the holder can be flipped forward or sideways depending on how much space you have on your desk or bedside table.
