The product is the most common, it could be worse.

The screw is several months old, there is a lot of noise when idle, the noise disappears when it is turned on (oddly enough) - either this is a mechanic in the parking area (IDLE3 is set to disabled), or self-testing, which is not turned off via S. M.A. R.T. When tested in MHDD, several dozen blocks > 500 ms are stably reproduced, while in S. M.A. R.T. Reallocated Sector Count = 0, Current_Pending_Sector = 0. So what is this?!

Pros
  • Volume.
Cons
  • As already mentioned - it rustles a lot. AAM does not support. 8( And this is a fresh model, screw 2022!

It works quickly and quietly, acts as a system disk, excellent price, excellent manufacturer, about a year has already passed, no lags, brakes, no problems were found (except for the size, perhaps), the temperature in the most severe conditions did not exceed 40 degrees, which is also a plus. if it were bigger, I would not be afraid to use it to store various files from work, entertainment, etc.

Pros
  • price / quality, silence, speed, does not heat up
Cons
  • maximum volume.

Disgusting, not happy with the purchase.

Pre-installed in the HP laptop as a system one. I managed to see this miracle through the teamviewer. As a result, I googled the model and saw a canvas of negative reviews here. I asked the owners to carefully use the laptop and then, upon arrival in Hong Kong time, exchange or return the money in the store. HP, of course, well done to put such rubbish in a laptop for 45k!

Pros
  • There is none of them
Cons
  • Everything people say in the negative reviews is true. Loading a processor under 100 from nothing, etc., etc.

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

This drive was bought to watch movies using a stationary media player, and so far it has done an excellent job with this task. Rustling while watching movies, of course, is not audible. In previous reviews I read the advantages of the WD Black series, however, the maximum volume of disks in this series is 750 GW. This is in my laptop and works beyond praise. And for storing data and watching movies in a high-speed hard drive is not necessary. So the Western Digital WD10JPVX does my job…

Pros
  • The volume of the hard drive at its adequate price.
Cons
  • It rustles while spinning. Not critical, really.

Hard drive 5 years old dirty and damaged

We received a hard drive advertised as new when clearly it was not. The disc arrived with no damage to the packaging. We immediately saw that there was sticky adhesive on top and on both sides where the labels had been peeled off. There were a few scratches on the top of the disc. The CD was from November 2014. We tested the drive and found it defective. We bought from Revain out of immediate need and shipping was fast. So I lost a customer who was in desperate need of their computer and lost…

Great for PS3 HD upgrade!

I did a lot of research before purchasing this drive and for less than $70 it was a great investment. I bought a PS3 Slim with 12GB Flash for just under $200, so my investment is worth more than the current "big" HD options, but costs less. Now to the installation. It was easy, the hardest part was opening the device so I could install the HD. After the installation I rebooted and asked if I wanted to copy the flash to the HD. I pressed yes and the copying started. After a few minutes, the PS3…

Bought this item to replace Hitachi 640GB 5400rpm SATA3.0G /b or SATA II. It started clicking and then stopped. It came with Toshiba Satellite which I have been buying for 2 years now. So I looked for a replacement and read good reviews about it. I installed it two days ago and then installed Windows 8.1 Pro. and I found this: this product is amazing, it is everything they described in the reviews. It is not only quiet, but also very fast and saves battery power. When I finished installing the…

Good hard drive (over 2 years)

I've been using this hard drive as a secondary drive in my Dell Precision for 2 years now and have no complaints. cautious user type when it comes to laptops so my laptop can get a few knocks or even fall off the table and the hard drive has never complained of rough handling. I didn't really test the speed of this drive as I use the primary SSD for data that needs to be processed and loaded quickly so I didn't mind the speed much on this drive. but I feel like it has very decent speed and gets

Good product, suitable for computers and accessories

This was the most expensive hard drive ever bought because as a light PC gamer I need a larger hard drive before using it 200GB -Hard drive, I found it. there wasn't enough space for a full game as the size was shared for mac and windows at the same time. I am a mac user my computer is a mac book pro 2011 13 inch and i will run parallels on the window side to play some games from inside also as permanent student space is needed for data storage so now i never run out of space will go out. Now I

I was scared but it was easy!

I was concerned about being able to install this little device myself - although many said it was easy - but I gave it a try and YES it was simple and easy. Using the Acronis software available on the WD website (free if you buy a WD hard drive) and an inexpensive SATA adapter ($7 or less), I got everything from my old hard drive to this new one in less than an hour cloned. - This was the only option as I had a refurbished laptop with no Windows installation disks. Also, cloning is much easier…

Great storage for games.

Used to make 7200rpm versions of the WD Blue which would work for my purposes. However, I don't think I could notice the difference in real life. This drive was purchased as a game save drive. I use it to download games from Steam and then when the game really needs more speed I move it to an SSD. As always, Western Digital has never let me down. They make great drives with great warranties and the prices are always competitive.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Super FAST, Affordable and Reliable WD SATA III Hard Drive!

I needed a 1TB 2.5" SATA hard drive. This hard drive replaces an old WD 320 GB hard drive with 7200 rpm and 16 MB cache. Speed is very important to me. I'm transferring a lot of pictures and large files and I need to do it quickly. This hard drive has a speed of 5400 RPM and only 8MB of cache, so I doubted it could run as fast as my old hard drive. Given WD's good reputation and my pleasant past experience with the brand, I wanted to try this drive and I'm glad I did. I installed this hard…

A good trip for your money

Have a good trip. I've never had a problem with westerns and I think it's a good buy for the money. This is very quiet and efficient. I'll say that these aren't the fastest drives in the world but personally they haven't let me down yet. I think their support could be better. I would like to warn anyone who is swapping out a hard drive for the first time to make sure you have the correct instructions beforehand. If you run into problems and there is no other computer nearby, or if you need to…
