A good replacement for the RV switch upgrade.

Good switch, durable, specs printed on switch. Used to replace a failed chassis switch on a Monaco RV (large diesel engine with heavy starter loads). More than standard but much higher amplifier power. Make sure the ends of the cables fit into the posts like mine (check the hole diameter) and no modifications are needed. Large, therefore covered old mounting holes. It's worth the money for this app. Highly recommended.

high quality materials and product

very happy with it as a turn off for my caravan. I misplaced the batteries as part of the size/quantity increase and the old circuit breaker could not be moved. It seems to be of a much higher quality and is very easy to turn on and off compared to the plastic key I had to disconnect from the battery. The offset is just enough so that it doesn't ground when flush at the back, but the posts are long enough to accommodate thick cables.

The switch is reliable and very smooth in operation.

This switch worked very well in an off-grid solar system between the battery positive cable and the inverter. It's big, easy to see and read, and runs very smoothly. The amperage was ideal for my application as I also have a 300 amp fuse in the same circuit as this switch. I used 4/0 cables/lugs and they match the pins on this switch perfectly. I recommend this product. The price was reasonable.

Perfect fit for my watercraft

I had a starting optimum and wanted to add some more lights and a better stereo to my watercraft. I knew I needed to add some more juice and wanted to make sure my family was safe. This switch was easy to install and gave me a lot of versatility for my batteries. You can use one or the other or both at the same time. I bought one with AFD because of my high performance system (455 Olds Engine, with some ponies). Recommended for single battery or dual battery systems.

  • Excellent design

Works great in a standalone solar booth

I use this in our standalone solar system and it works great. We have a 48V system with an 840Ah battery. We typically draw about 60 amps at 48 volts through this switch and have had no problems. I don't turn it on and off often. In fact, I only tested the switch for its main function (on/off) right after installation, not afterwards. However, for the purpose it's intended for in my place, it works pretty amazing. By the way, before I bought it, I was curious that the 4/0 cable lugs are great…

fastening material?

Used to replace the Perko switch. This sits higher than the Perko but still fits pretty well. Couldn't line up the mounting holes properly so had to drill new mounting holes - no big deal I had plenty of room. Position. I'm only taking off a star because it didn't come with any mounting hardware. It goes without saying that you need four stainless steel screws to assemble - it seems Blue Sea can turn these - I bought four at the hardware store for 27 cents each but of course spent $2.50 on gas…

Battery Saver good for boating

I installed this switch in my RV's battery box to isolate the bus batteries during storage. I gave it one star because working with 4/0 battery cables makes them difficult to bend. It's not the switch's fault, but something to watch out for if you're looking to install one. The switch works smoothly and reliably. Some have complained that mounting bolts/screws are not supplied, but as every installation is different I can understand why. I went to a big store, bought 4 1/4 x 20 2" stainless…

Battery leakage problem solved, flush mounted safely

The switch was easy to install, feels very solid and I expect it to last a long time. I'm sure it's a bit excessive for my only marine battery, but I'm willing to pay an extra twenty bucks for peace of mind. This switch has a very high ampere rating threshold when starting the engine, and its size and weight mean I won't be replacing it any time soon. The flush mount option works great and maintains a professional look. As for my particular setup: I have a standard marine battery powered by a…
