Big, bulky and expensive. but that .

Large, bulky and expensive. but it is the only Class T fuse holder from a reputable shipping company. I'm sure this will do the job. I just wish they would come up with something more compact.

Pros
  • Lighting and electricity
Cons
  • Quality

3/8 " Bolt Large Heavy Duty Fuse Holder

I didn't see it in the description but this fuse holder has 3/8" mounting bolts. Most of them use 5/16" lugs. This fuse holder is a little larger than I expected but perfect for my application. Good product.

Pros
  • Electrical
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Satisfied with all Blue Sea devices

Satisfied with all Blue Sea devices. This is no exception. If you want well-built things that you don't have to worry about, then this is the blue sea. Some of the other fuse holders I saw looked pretty sketchy. I was afraid they would fail and start a fire. Don't worry about that.

Pros
  • Fuses and accessories
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Misleading product photo

This product image is faulty as it shows a backup image included with the product. The total cost of the fuse and holder is much higher so consider this before purchasing this item. The mount looks very high quality so I only have to wait a week for my fuse to arrive before I can install it.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Compatibility

Working, no extra connectors

What I received matches the photo on Revain.com and also on the Blue Sea website. Unfortunately Blue Sea seems to have discontinued the "two additional Terminals #8 at each end" which would have been nice. Overall I'm happy with it, the fuse box houses my 300 amp Class T fuse and the pins are the right size with enough clearance for the large spade lugs on my 4/0 wire.

Pros
  • Fuses
Cons
  • Capacitance

Misleading slogan! DELIVERY NOT WITH FUSE!

This product description pisses me off! What the hell does it say 320 amps! It's a fuse holder! The description says from 225 to 400 amps. But the slogan says 320 amps, and it shows a fuse in the device, and again you can choose 160 or 320 amps, assuming it's a full device. BUT of course in the fine print at the very bottom of the listing "fuse not included" damn it WHY THEY SHOW THE ARMOR FUSE AND STATE 320 AMPS!

Pros
  • Insulation cover meets ABYC/USCG insulation requirements
Cons
  • Doubtful

Read the fine print - Fuse not included

. block. Fuses are more expensive than a fuse box. Oddly enough they sell a 400 amp fuse box and details in the fuse box instructions at ratings with a 400 amp fuse but Blue Sea does not sell a 400 amp fuse! The largest of the proposed - 350 amps. With mixed feelings about the integrity of Blue Sea Systems I'm only giving 3 stars because I feel cheated by them.

Pros
  • The four-bolt design provides ample access around the terminal stud to install large spade terminals without getting in the way of the fuse.
Cons
  • Long delivery

Misleading product description

Fuse box shown with fuse installed. The product description states the rated power of 320 A, which I took for the backup power. My problem is the rating of the fuse box. The LAST paragraph in the description speaks for itself. Fuses are sold separately. Overall I'm happy to get the fuse box but now I have to order another fuse as I ordered a spare fuse when I bought the fuse box. Prime is no problem!
