Much less than I expected

Much less than I expected for a 100 amp bus. I wouldn't use this for anything over 20 amps and 12 gauge wire. For 100 amps the smallest copper wire you can use is 4 gauge wire, which is significantly larger than the average wire in my drawing. If you are using wires larger than 10 gauge, the smallest connector plug will be too big to fit. For 100 amps DC I use the 2/0 wire, the largest wire in my drawing. It makes this tiny bus stand look ridiculously small.

Pros
  • 150 amp 4 stud common rail with cover (P/N 2307)
Cons
  • Can't remember

This review is for a Blue Sea Systems 4 terminal block with a plastic cover. The product is well made and the plastic cover fits this is important to note because if the end nuts are screwed in noticeably different sizes then the cap will not fit either. It would be nice to have red and black but I could only find black. So I used black on each side An important note: if you are using 3/8" spade/ring terminals you will need to add a #10 stainless steel washer or something similar.

Pros
  • Terminal Bolts: 4 x 1/4"-20
Cons
  • No Automatic

They've been through a lot and are masters at this

I've been using these for a year and combine three charge controllers to power a battery offline. System. Once or twice I've pushed the 250 amp limit (albeit by a few amps) and haven't seen any problems. If you go over 175 amps they can get a bit warmer than room temperature, but that's to be expected when you're running that much current through them. The highest temperature I could get was around 95-105 degrees Fahrenheit, outputting over 225 amps at +/- 24v with a temperature gun at room…

Pros
  • 2 #10 (M5) mounting holes for screws
Cons
  • Only available in black
