Great customer service

Update: The company responded to my negative review and sent a replacement that worked great. Excellent customer support! Original Review: The plastic nuts are very frustrating when trying to finger tighten them for installation only, and the rubber cap, which looks like a great waterproof feature, doesn't stay closed. Don't buy this.

Does what it should. I added one.

Does what it's supposed to. I added one to my boat console in addition to my existing 12v car charger socket. Charges smartphones and Bluetooth speakers with no issues and fairly quickly. Not sure how it will hold up in wet salt water 6 months out of the year but we'll see. Corrosion shouldn't be a big problem for the rubber cap that goes into the ports. Apparently the bottom output is 2.1A.

Worked as stated.

I had to enlarge the hole in the cigarette lighter. I took out a piece and used a rat tail file. It took a few minutes to get the hole the right size. I connected the cables in reverse order and the charger didn't work. I pulled up the information and saw that the charger was protected from the inside. That's when I realized that I must have routed the cables incorrectly. I fixed it in a few minutes and everything worked great.

MUCH better than the factory sale in my truck!

Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for. I used this to replace the weak pathetic 12 volt outlets in my Toyota truck. Factory outlets barely charged the phone. I thought I would have to replace the factory fuse and wiring, but after trying this first, just by switching the outlet to this myself, my phones are now charging FAST! I'll most likely go back and upgrade the wiring and fuse that powers this outlet anyway, but this thing is already way better than the factory outlet.

A great product that allows you to easily charge your iPod and similar devices.

Installed on my 2011 Honda Ridgeline in the rear center console so my daughters have a permanent USB port to charge their iPod. The package arrived on time and well packaged. There are no instructions in the charging socket, but it is quite simple. So far everything works without problems. Of course, it is convenient to be able to connect the charging cable to a standard charging socket without an additional interface. Plus, charging is fast with a 2.1A rating.
