They can be used with a seat belt or hooks on the seat backs. If I were to change something, I would put them where they can be raised more (shorter). They are very strong and work well!

I have a bloodhound who is constantly unbuckling his seat belts. So these crochet ones are really good hands. Also like the latch-on-latch. Can't say it's buy yet, he hasn't chewed it yet. So far they seem to be very strong. I like them best so far.

The only reason for 4 stars is that one of them had a broken tab on the spring clip at the end of the seat belt. Otherwise they work great and we had no issues with the car seat belts. They go in and out easily. I like the D spring clip with the lock on it. Easy to use even when your hands are full.

Seat belt deployment weak. I was a ladder to use this part. The clamping part is ok so far, but still not as strong as with car seats. "Carbine" crap. It is too small and hard to open for you to attach dog's harness. I will continue to use this product until I find a better replacement, but I would not recommend it to anyone.

I love these pet safety buckles. Works great when traveling with a pet on seat c or when the seats are folded down and need to use the safety hooks instead as the seat belt buckles are available. However, I did not receive the collapsible dog plate when it arrived. It took me a while to realize it and by the time I realized it was supposed to come with the mug it was too late to do anything about it.

My biggest concern was that I have always traveled with dogs. I've always worried about accidents. I bought a great system from Kurgo that works great too but gives my 7 pound little dog too much exercise. This system allows me to set up your dog so he doesn't fall off the seat and end up floating in the air. It's also more convenient for pets traveling in the front passenger seat rather than the back seat.

I use it as the 3rd point of contact in my medium sized kennel. Twice a month I take my two ducks to the vet out of town. This helps protect the kennel in the event of an accident. My seat belt wasn't enough to get around the kennel. This would be a great tool for keeping a feral dog in the back seat during car rides.
