Garmin 6 BMW, 60% off retail. Buy

Garmin 6 for BMW K1600. There are no games here, it was a used device in good condition and works great as a brand new device. 60% discount on new. I bought a used 18" bike with no sat nav, ordered it and installed it and it's been great since I bought it a month ago. Thank you, good sirs. Received 4 days after order.

Cons
  • There are nuances

Too many and too early to need tech support.

I had this expensive item for a week and used it 3 times on my bike. Today the screen freezes and lights up. Does not turn off in the mount. Nothing I've done has worked. I'm thinking of a hard reset. If I really needed the thing or I was in climactic weather I would be pissed. Garmin support is terrible. It's like a maze to get a person.

Two thumbs up from me

Very useful on the bike. I have a 2021 GSA R1250 and apart from how great it looks when you drive it, it provides a lot of information on the road, especially in areas without cell service, the device keeps guiding you to your destination. Once properly paired with the TFT and your Sena, it's a real pleasure to recommend.

Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Big savings if you mind some wear and no extras.

The navigator came in standard packaging with a charging cable, without a case and other documentation. The battery was dead. There were a few marks on the screen surface from previous use, but they were only visible when the device was off (black screen) and in bright light. It took about an hour to charge, but there are no traces when it is on. apparently. All functions seem to work on and off my K1600GT. I tried not to use my smartphone with RAM X Grip for navigation but you can't beat the…

Great screen and much faster response than IV but no sound

Navigator works well and the information is very good. Good screen, bright, easily visible in bright sunlight. But: You cannot receive any sound if you do not connect the device to a Bluetooth headset. I was hoping to connect to the motorcycle audio system but there is no way to do it. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. Maybe the other owner who did the upgrade knows something I don't. I also had to replace the instrument case but it only took 5 minutes and the display is perfect for the new…

It doesn’t add fun to the $1000 bike.

I had a Zumo 390 and it had a built in speaker and a physical 1/8" audio jack and microSD slot, all accessible from the outside. There is no speaker in the navigator, only audio output via bluetooth, it plays mp3 files from the microSD but for some reason they sound terrible. and can in fact be quite annoying when you click on it and your card slides away. Nav seems to know a lot about the bike, including the color of the paintwork. It looks like it can also tell you exactly why the yellow…

Great screen with some odd behavior

This is a world of improvement over the Navigator IV I replaced with it and would have gotten 5 stars except for two things: 1) The touchscreen behaves oddly at times, especially when it is cold (ie - below 50 degrees Fahrenheit). By that I mean that whatever spot I touch on the screen (gloved or not, it doesn't matter) actually activates a portion of the screen about 1/2 inch above. So, for example, when the keyboard comes up and I try to type the letter "H", the letter "D" comes up. This…
