It worked but not like the video.

I used this product on a charcoal wool suit with two moth holes. They were small holes about 1/8 inch. I watched the video several times, read the instructions, cut off a piece of excess fabric (I hope it doesn't crumble at the cut along the leg seam) and frayed as shown in the video and applied a cotton (t-shirt fabric) patch as shown suggested. The product filled the hole but left it shiny, this wool suit is not shiny. Is it better than a hole? Not really, the area is shiny and a bit stiff…

Pros
  • Adhesives
Cons
  • Crumpled

Fills holes but leaves an odd sheen on fabric.

This will fill in holes but as the setting powder dries it will become a bit shiny so if some of it shows on the front of your garment it will look pretty obvious (especially on solid, ultralight or super dark colors) because it has more glitter and glitter in this renovated place. Especially if you're not patching but simply FILLING the hole with a bunch of tiny fibers of fabric that you need to mix with the melting powder. Once the powder heats up and dries, you'll get that glossy shine in…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

I didn't like the adhesive powder as there needs to be some sort of applicator to control application. I figured the powder would stick to the water that was poured around the moth. So if you put the repair material on the powder and water it won't stick until you use the iron. Repair material can move. I used the product on a 100% wool Tahari suit. The protective paper is good. I will use it with fusible liner, not glue powder. I wouldn't use this for expensive clean fabrics that you can't…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Ideal for repairing small moth holes in cashmere sweaters

A few years ago my mum discovered a moth problem in her closet - a bunch of her cashmere sweaters had holes in them! She was embarrassed to wear them and upset about it. I wanted to see if this product could help and it does. I have read the instructions and watched the video. First we tried on one of their oldest cashmere sweaters - it had almost 8 holes and looked awful! It's in such bad shape that she now only wears it as a layer under other sweaters. For the lining we used material from the

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
