Terrible design in coffee, tea and espresso

Sticking plastic to something that contains very hot liquid is a TERRIBLE idea. But I think it's cheaper. I received one of those French presses, the filter came loose because it was glued on. I sent it back and got a replacement. And this time the grip loosens. Terrible cheap design. Bodum sure could be better (I have a smaller Bodum, it's perfect) but they probably tried to make the product cheaper. Avoid.

Pain in R$E!: French Presss

The handle is not attached to the bottom so you have some slack if you throw away the old blades. The lid is not the same as on previous versions of Bodum presses and it is very difficult to tell when the spout is aligned to actually pour the coffee. I can't tell you how many times I dripped coffee because I aligned the pouring grid with the handle and not the spout. pain in $$! I miss old Bodum so much but I can't seem to find a replacement carafe! That sucks!

Almost perfect in the kitchen and dining room

This one is almost perfect for the price. Two little picky preferences. You can't tell where the strainer is by looking at the top of the lid, so I took a knife and cut off the top. Once you cover the full pot with the lid, it's almost impossible to see if the strainer is aligned with the spout due to the dark coffee. Another problem is that it's not big enough yet. I have a large thermos that holds 68 ounces and lasts about 3 days. I'm just lazy enough not to want to make coffee more often…

A simple, light touch makes great coffee!

Bodum French Press has been with us for half a year now and we love it! It's as simple as adding ground coffee and water, steeping, and then squeezing the coffee. I love that you can use any ground coffee you like (we love Maxwell House Hazelnut) and we make amazing condensed coffee lattes. The piston can be unscrewed and is therefore easy to clean. It can also be washed without disassembly and get clean. I love that you don't need any other accessories like filters, cups, etc. I don't even…

He does his job but is not happy.

I bought this to replace a beautiful purple 51 ounce Bodum Bean French Press that I broke while on crutches after surgery. I wanted to stick with this large size. I use it to brew some personalized tea drink mixes which are a blend of teas, herbs, elixirs and adaptogens. After an unsatisfactory attempt to replace the bean press, I settled on this more classic design. Given its simplicity, it feels overpriced and works just as well as any other press. Downgrading to 3 stars in my opinion for the
