As others have said, Revane's locks suck. I bought 3 locks and all 3 were defective. I recommend you to buy directly from the seller. What Revain doesn't realize is that the lock is no longer good once it's "keyed in" by the first customer who bought it. Future customers will never be able to use them.

Another good article from Bolt. I like the utility of this lock and the ability to use the car keys. I don't like that he seems kind of weak and lanky. It doesn't close as smoothly as a master lock and doesn't feel as strong. I won't test it due to the price, but I doubt it needs a few good hammer hits.

I use this trailer latch lever both when it's attached to my truck and in stock. This is a great lock and I always carry a key with me as it works with my truck key. When used in conjunction with an off-vehicle hitch bolt lock (again, no additional keys!) it presents a multi-layered approach to security that is far more secure than any other offering in this price range.

Love the idea of being able to lock the lock like a truck ignition. I had to cut off three out of five locks on my truck because they no longer work. I like using them to attach toolboxes to my truck, but they give me a headache every 3 months when I have to cut off the odd locking latch. Quality is annoying at best.

I have purchased several (if not all) Bolt products over the years. I just sold a Chevy with a bolt hitch bolt lock, a trailer lock, a 6ft cable lock and several bolt padlocks. Never had a problem. A pair was used on my Chevy to mount ladders. Therefore, they were constantly exposed to the weather. Never had a problem. So I decided to fit it into my new truck and Bolt was the only option in my opinion. Good product!

I bought this lock and lock to use on my new truck. I used a padlock as the tongue lock on my trailer. Yesterday when I wanted to open the lock to detach it from the trailer, the key turned in the lock and the shackle of the lock did not come out. I removed the lock by cutting off the shackle with a hacksaw. The hacksaw took a minute to cut the staple. Disappointing! Aside from being able to pick the lock in under a week, cutting the shackle means this lock offers little to no security.
