Getting Started. I was so excited about this bookshelf but was disappointed when it arrived. Assembly, which should not have taken more than half an hour, took an hour, the threaded holes in the shelves did not line up with the holes in the uprights. After trying to solve this problem, I assembled everything and found that it didn't sit flat and wobbly. It's like one of the legs isn't as long as the other, and it's going to wobble because of it. Support rods will not fit and will not screw into the frame. I tried to get past the first step to see if the bracket ended up helping to make it better and it just showed that the support bars weren't done right. I've put a lot of things together so this isn't user error. The bars cannot be laid on both sides and therefore do not fit. Hello, this shelf is amazingly strong and just the size we needed. Everything went very smoothly. The only exception was one of the adjustable feet. It wouldn't screw in and I needed pliers to screw it in. Its design is well thought out and the cross on the back is really stabilizing. They have holes in the back cross-section so you can attach them to the wall to keep them safe for children. The rack is durable and attached to the frame with screws. I have three of these shelves: 3 tier, 4 tier and 5 tier ladder shelf. I was very happy with them. They are easy to assemble and easy to move after assembly. I keep them pretty full of books and plants and they all seem sturdy for their weight. The adjustable feet are great for my old house's uneven brick floors.
