. old paperback hardcover and it looks great with this material

Turn an old paperback into a hardcover and it looks great with this material. Feels great and was easy to use/manipulate. Glued without bubbles, irregularities and wrinkles. My only complaint is that it just isn't enough. I was able to make a book the size of a standard paperback and barely had enough to make another very small bulk sale. Expect only one book to be created with it.

Pros
  • Many colors to choose from
Cons
  • Very expensive

Sticks so easily!

This bookcloth is a little lighter than expected. However, this is still a quality product. I used it to bind my first bound textbook. It stuck to my chipboard so well with no bubbles that I was shocked at how comfortable it felt! I agree and wish there were more. I was able to make a small 5.5 x 8.5 cover using leftover scraps that I can use to create a small notebook. All in all I would buy it again but probably in a different color.

Pros
  • pH neutral glue and bone binder recommended, see items bbht101 and bbhm207
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

The material is a nice even color that doesn't spread with glue.

I made a cover for a set of 5 hardcover books and used the back cloth to line the thick layered book panel. The material holds the glue well (Helmar acid free glue) and I had no trouble lifting the material at the seams. The material has a nice even color that doesn't spread when applying glue. It has a nice clean look and this amateur bookmaker was very happy with the end result, measuring 12x12x7 inches from memory. Thumbs up.

Pros
  • High quality European traditional bookcloth
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
