Much better than a glass backpack

My 3 inch cat came back from compartment E cheap but with a thrush glass backpack that buzzed badly at top revs. Pulling my trailer was a headache. This muffler makes a growl over idle and very little of what I would call a hum. Towed load of 5,000 lb. Sound in the city without a trailer is fine.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • A bit ripped

Excellent value for money

High quality silencer. Replaced the Thrush Hush turbo muffler with this one. The construction and finish of the Borla are excellent. As for the noise, it's loud when accelerating, but not obnoxious. The cruising tone is pleasant and quiet even at high revs. Dron didn't notice. The idle tone is also pleasant and quiet. Performance meets end-to-end design expectations. It's essentially a perforated tube with padding around it. All in all, this is a great choice for a performance muffler without…

Great sound and even improved fuel economy!

For 2020 RAM 1500 Big Horn with 5.7 liter V8 engine. If you want your truck to sound like a truck but not too loud, then this Borla muffler is your answer. I asked the local shop to install it for me as it is welded on. The silencer makes for what I call the perfect growl. I left the resonators on. This muffler even increased fuel economy by 2-3mpg, which I wasn't expecting. It was typically around 20mpg at 75mph with the stock muffler, but my most recent ride was 23mpg with the Borla (note: on

5.0 just do it! in Mufflers

LOVE LOVE LIVE this. I really decided to change the muffler and jeep tune. On my F150 5.0 2013. Someone else posted a review and said the same thing so I did. This is a great choice when you need more sound and deeper rumble. It's perfect when you want a little more sound but not the annoying sound that stops you every week. Outside of the cockpit you really can't tell a HUGE difference, but it is noticeable. The cockpit has a pleasant sound in your ears. There's a little hum but it's very very

Borla Proxs is good for exhaust and emissions

Nice muffler. No scratches on the packaging. Came with a sticker. My Application: 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500L, 5.3L Cab, 6.5ft Bed. Cut the muffler of a stock BBQ grill just in front of it. The size of the stock muffler tailpipe was 3 inches before the muffler and 2.75 inches after the muffler. I installed a 1ft 3" pipe after the muffler and 3" down in front of the rear axle. Nice setting IMHO. The stock muffler sounded like a car, with deputies it sounds like a good truck. I fell in love with…
