🔌 Bosch 03182 Distributor Cap: Superior Performance and Durability for Ignition Systems Review

I've had it on my car for a few years with no problems. Plug in new plugs and Bosch cables at the same time, and the car starts.

Good fit. Bought the more expensive Bosch parts because in my experience they hold up better with a high voltage ignition system.

Used to replace a heavily used/stock distributor cap. I recommend replacing it with this new piece. It was an easy install and the dimensions of the parts matched the original specifications perfectly. It helps that the design is just genius. It doesn't get much easier than that.

I will use OEM parts unless the price is out of range. For my 944 (base 1986) the price of this cap wasn't much higher than some other aftermarket caps. I replaced an aftermarket cap that had a glitch. This lid is significantly thicker and looks better. I think it's worth a few bucks more.

Working now but doesn't look like a Bosch original product. There is BOSCH lettering on the outside, but no Bosch logo. The casting seems to be of poor quality, air bubbles are visible in the insulator around the ports and the cylinder numbers are missing, direction of rotation and firing order need to be considered.
