IT WAS NOT A 59 1/2 " Canvas!

I ordered a Bosch 59 1/2" band saw blade, easy process right? Well the BOX said 59 1/2 inches on the product label, and the box still had a cheap little clear sticker on the box flap BUT the blade length (yes I measured it) was 62 1/2 inches long. Needless to say the blade does NOT fit my bandsaw and I had to return the Revain blade. Apparently someone messed up the packaging at Bosch.

Pros
  • Optimized tooth geometry for better performance
Cons
  • No performance

Wanted to be liked.

. but didn't really like it. Although relatively new to the hobby, I've run two of my own 9" band saws in the last two years and this Bosch is by far the thinnest and most elusive blade I've come across. At least now I can make out that unholy screech. I sometimes hear from the industrial area that without the frame of reference of this purchase I could never have said it was made from recycled soda cans.

Pros
  • High-quality materials prevent heat build-up for a longer service life
Cons
  • Some vermin

Great for quick cuts with a small saw

I make handles so I cut a lot of sticks to length. It cuts like butter. Where it really shines is in its 1 x 1 x 5 inch curve. I made a jig to hold the work piece at a 45 degree angle lengthwise to cut the corners on each 5 inch side. It saves a lot of cutting once it hits my lathe. The 6 tpi blade cuts efficiently and quickly, saving a lot of time. In the future I will only use these blades on both saws.

Pros
  • Heavy woodworking
Cons
  • Out of style
