Description of π Bosch BS5912 6W General Purpose Stationary: A Versatile Solution for All Your Stationary Needs
For general-purpose applications in wood. Premium materials resist heat buildup for long life. Optimized tooth geometry for best performance. Lengths fit most common band saw sizes.
So I installed this, tightened it up and it broke about 6 inches in diameter. I pasted the old canvas with the same settings and it worked fine, albeit slowly because it's boring. I have contacted support but have not received anything from them after about 2 weeks.
This is a wafer thin blade. The teeth are very widely spaced so they slide along the outside edge of the drive wheel. I can get it to track the top wheel but it slides onto the edge of the bottom one. I don't see this for very long. I got a refund from Revain and I'm throwing it in the trash where it should be.
Ordered a pair of 59 1/2" band saws. The tag said 59 1/2" but it didn't match the band saw. Bosch always have great products and I've never had a problem in the past, but this one blade order left me very frustrated until I measured the new blades against the old blade.Had to return the item and hope the replacement is labeled correctly.
I'm not sure I've experienced the sharpness/durability that some other blades have given me. I haven't used this blade very much, but now I'm really in a "dull blade". I bought two so I'm very interested in how the second one works. Will thin plywood dull the blade faster than thicker natural wood? Maybe this is the problem. Happy New Year.

Replaced my original band saw blade which was too dull to cut on my circle gauge. I tested it with different woods and gauges and made countless adjustments to my saw. The blade cuts quickly but the cutting surface is very rough - not at all like my original blade. I've seen the cutting width being close to 1/8 inch. I don't recommend using this blade unless you want to make a lot of rough cuts quickly.
