Arrived in raw packaging, completely rusted

The drill has a quality look and sharp edges. Arrived wrapped in several layers of plastic, the cardboard backing of the package itself was so wet it fell apart. Rust was present on almost every surface rendering the bit unusable.

Pros
  • Jobber drill
Cons
  • Available in white only

Much better than HSS

This works much better for punching holes in stainless steel and titanium than an HSS drill bit. I worked slowly to avoid heating the material too much with a TiN coated HSS bit but it didn't work. Use this cobalt with a small amount of cutting fluid and it will cut through the material very quickly.

Pros
  • Power Tool Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Bosch Made in China – well.

Having successfully used a German made Bosch product I was a bit hesitant when I saw that this bit was made in China. Hardened steel was advertised. I was attempting to drill two holes in 3/32" case hardened 1010 steel using a 390 rpm floor drill with oil lubrication. ended up drilling with a US made carbide tipped drill that my son bought for $10 from a US industrial supplier in South Florida.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Not sure
