High battery consumption.

This laser is pretty decent. This is good for small jobs. I wish I could read the specs a little more closely, I don't like that it's projecting both horizontal and vertical lines all the time, I'd rather be able to turn it on individually. Battery drain is pretty high, so have a couple of AA batteries handy. If you are considering buying this laser I would go with one that uses rechargeable batteries.

Pros
  • Measuring and Marking Tools
Cons
  • Doubtful

One step forward, two steps back.

Sure, the green laser is brighter, but it doesn't make sense that the "upgrade" version loses two important features. First, you cannot switch between vertical laser, horizontal laser, and both together. Second, there is no way to turn on the laser when the pendulum is locked. Both features were available in the previous iteration. This model only has: move/unlock the pendulum+turn on both lasers; and move/turn off both lasers and lock the pendulum.

Pros
  • Line laser
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great little laser for laying wall tiles

automatic level @ + - 4 degrees, I mounted my unit on a tripod but the clamp that comes with it works well too. This device burns batteries, expect 3-4 hours of operation from a set of AA batteries. I used this laser to install tile on a bathroom wall. No problems with the accuracy of the plumb and level lines. I haven't really tested its ability or accuracy to work more than 4-8 feet from my work surface, but I suspect the lines could get a little blurry and wide. I believe the papers said…

Pros
  • laser levels and accessories
Cons
  • I'll write later

Excellent leveling, best measuring and marking tools

I've always used bubble levels For my latest project, the bathroom shower stall, this new layer was great. It's much easier to set up a ledger board for that first set of tiles on all three walls and then make sure my progression continues up to wall level. Then vertical lines so each wall and the staggered tiles are square. I have no problem seeing lines indoors. I struggled with this ledger for a while - it made things easier.

Pros
  • VERSATILITY: The tool allows for quick setup as it projects two bright lines that are precisely aligned and plumb for a variety of leveling and leveling applications
Cons
  • Some errors
