Bosch does what it's supposed to do

Usually you only hear about things that don't work, but the Bosch bit works like a champ. With big bits like this you have to be a bit careful if you have a powerful drill. I've been thrown several times, I have a workhorse drill) and the drill has not bent or deformed. Great tact.

Pros
  • 8% cobalt alloy for longer life and better heat resistance
Cons
  • Little things

Just what I needed to install a dryer vent

This hole saw was just what the doctor ordered to cut through the outside of my house, To Install the Dryer Vent Simply cut a clean hole through two layers of wood and one layer of vinyl siding to create a perfect hole that fits snugly in the vent. The teeth weren't damaged afterwards and this beast looks ready for action for a long time.

Pros
  • Works with standard or quick change mandrels (requires adapters for quick change)
Cons
  • Great price

Completely satisfied.

Quick assembly of 8 ceiling lights. Since my cuts were only in the drywall, I followed the YouTube repairman's advice and reversed the drill once the pilot hole started to finish the cuts. In this case the saw is less aggressive so there is very little "chatter" or sticking/twisting and you end up with a cleaner hole and almost no bit wear (see photo). Even the thin plastic membrane between drywall and blow-in insulation was hardly damaged!

Pros
  • Reinforced shoulder for extra strength and durability.
Cons
  • Very expensive.
