I took this bit to install an electrical box in a ceramic tile wall. It cut a very smooth hole without too much trouble. The saw was a little expensive, but it made the hard work easier.
Excellent quality hole saw. For drilling holes in porcelain stoneware in the kitchen. This thing melted like butter. It looks like this is going to take a while too. Did a few holes with it and it worked great every time.
I had two 3-5/8 inch diameter holes to cut through a cast stone veneer about 1 inch thick. The saw cut through stone easily and showed no visible wear when I was done. I used some water from a spray bottle and low speeds with an angle drill. The saw should be good for many other holes.
