This worked really well to remove old tiles. It even helped remove the adhesive from the previous vinyl floor that had been in use for years. I still had to scrape off some of the remaining adhesive to prepare the concrete floor for the new tiles, but it made my life a lot easier by having about 50% of the tiles in place. This is a well-made shaft that stayed sharp even after hours of use.
I bought this for my SDS drill. The ground here in Tucson is rock hard, but this chisel cuts through it well. I dug deep holes for three cacti and another plant to fill with potting soil. My neighbors just dig a very small hole and plant their plants there. Coming from one of the longtime farmers in the Midwest, I need to do it right. This hook really helps.
Works well (homeowner) for removing tile and laminate from a concrete slab (500 sq ft), used horizontally to lift tile from below. Also good for removing grout and adhesive residue from smooth panels before re-laying. Works much better and cheaper with MUCH less dust than the jackhammer the Bubba contractor used to remove the same tile (in a different spot on the same slab.
