I have several drill bits of various sizes and types (all Bosch) and also about 100 or more drill bits of many types and sizes. So I figured I had what it takes to poke holes in whatever I need. Until I had to drill some holes in the sheet metal of my pole shed. The challenge was making smooth holes in the sheet metal walls so I could insert grommets and run cables through them. I used to drill holes in sheet metal, but always with a backing or with the metal between pieces of wood. I found…

What's really impressive is that you get a lot more battery life from a cordless drill than you would normally expect from a drill like this. Better bait means less juice is needed over time. In this way, you can achieve more with the same load than with competing bits. Are there…

Pros
  • Inspires trust
Cons
  • Out of fashion

TLDR: Ideal for sheet metal and when you need to drill a variety of hole sizes. It's expensive, though, so if you just need to poke some holes in wood, get shovels. We just remodeled our living room and re-routed a massive amount of AV cabling in the process, so I had some to use. I used to try drilling a hole for the cables with a wide drill and then somehow move it around the edges to make it bigger, or I used a putty knife. but it can be difficult to poke through thick wood and you must be…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
