This must accompany the Bose SoundLink speaker. .

Must be included with the Bose SoundLink speaker. But my 5 star rating is purely for the device and the fact that I can't imagine using the speaker as much as I would without the base. It keeps the speaker charged and ready to go in any room around (or outside) the home. If you're not complaining about the cost of the Bose speaker, spend the extra money to get this docking station. It's worth it.

Poor, overpriced product

I've had it for almost 3 years now and may have taken it to the beach a few times. It also served as my computer speaker and was rarely used outside when working on my cars. Contacts no longer touch; a slight push on the bottom center is required to make the proper contact required for charging. The price doesn't make sense either; that's Bose's premium price for a stand that has nothing to do with sound quality. This should have been initially offered with the speaker itself. I will start…

Use your speaker twice as much and always count on it being charged.

Compensate for the hassle of proprietary Bose charging plugs with a super-convenient alternative that keeps your speaker charged and ready to go. Pros: - No extra cables included, reusing the one that came with the speaker - Very easy to mount the speaker to the stand - Cables come out of the stand at right angles - Compatible with Bose speaker grille (no need to remove them) Cons : - Available seperately. Considering the price, it would be nice if it came with a speaker. Typically, the cable…

improvement was required.

I agree with others. This docking station should have come with the speaker, not for an extra $35. It's a good docking station, but it retails for around $10-15. Additionally, this dock acts as a raised notch in the base for routing the charging cable, allowing the dock to sit flush with the surface it sits on without sitting on the cable. It is designed for a charging cable with a straight plug at the end. Mine came with a 12 volt plug with a 90 degree male end. It didn't fit properly in the…

Disappointing price. Shame on you BOZ.

I am disappointed with the design of the product. It works and works. But I'm disappointed they didn't use spring loaded connector pins. The connector pins that connect to the audio dock's speaker are fixed height and only two in height. This causes the right side of the speaker to rise above the stand and wobble. This could easily be repaired with the spring-loaded connector pins found in many rechargeable docking stations, including cordless drills. But Bose took the cheaper route and fixed…
