DO NOT BUY! on portable speakers and docking stations

DO NOT buy this POS. It's one of the most uncomfortable tech devices I've ever owned. I wanted bluetooth speakers to only play music from my devices. This speaker only runs on the app provided by it.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Frequency

Do not buy this speaker!

Don't waste your time on this. This speaker is junk. There is almost no bass, the sound quality is very poor. I can't believe BOSE released something like this! I can't say enough good things about this speaker. €160 is definitely not worth it. the price tag it comes with. I wouldn't buy this thing for $10. He comes back. AND I GRADUATED WITH BOSE.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

If you want disappointment, buy this system.

If you want disappointment buy this system. He plays when he wants; recognizes the music library if it wants; refuses to find speakers when he wants to. Now I have a new problem. It detects the music library, then you select an album, then you select a song and lo and behold, the screen goes blank 02/09/2018. This has been a problem since day one. I have over twenty calls to Bose and they are constantly trying to fix the problems. Not only did I buy three of these speakers, I also bought a…

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Nothing here

buy Sonos. I bought two of these speakers with the SoundTouch 20 and they have disappointed me. Their app is far from user-friendly and also contains bugs that haven't been fixed in a year of owning these speakers. Something as simple as controlling speaker volume through a phone app was unrelentingly awful. Also connecting these speakers is sometimes an impossible task. Big disappointment. These speakers annoy me every time I use them

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Just love it

Bought this one with the Bose name without seeing it first hand. When I first took it out of the box I was concerned that the size would reflect the sound. That worry was for nothing as the Bose itself sounds amazing! Full of life and base. I installed it in my bedroom and now I listen to music while getting ready for the day or unwinding at night. Overall I really fell in love with it and it reminded me why I have so much faith in the Bose brand. . Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Useless features

Works great. I've previously mapped my favorite Spotify stations to a button above, and turning on music is just as easy with a single tap. , it automatically searches and connects to my phone. I can just turn on the podcast that way. I use it as a standalone device and don't want to be forced to fill my house with speakers of the same brand for it to work properly (I'm looking at you Sonos). You need to download the Bose SoundTouch app for this to work. I don't use it to control my speaker but

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Expensive

Disappointed with the Alexa interface!

Although the sound quality is Bose, there are serious problems with the Alexa/Bose interface. We bought it to use hands-free with Revain Unlimited Music. After five hours of technical support from Revain, we were moved to Bose. It took them an hour to tell us that we couldn't tell Alexa to play a specific Revain song on Bose. I love Alexa but Bose has a much better sound. The best we could do is turn on the Revain music on the Bose and set a preset that only takes us to the artist we were…

Pros
  • understandable even for the old one
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Pay attention to the 1 star reviews

I wish I had taken my own advice. Connecting to WiFi took over an hour and required a Google search for an undocumented way to access the speakers and manually enter the hotspot's name and password. The Android app and accompanying Windows download have been corrupted to become unusable. They do not support local content streaming! I bought these speakers for use on the go (trade shows, events, courses, seminars. Once they leave the local WiFi network you can't connect them via Bluetooth or AUX

Pros
  • Good for many
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

The SoundTouch app cannot control the speakers!

Speakers sound great when used. However, the Soundtouch app cannot control the Internet radio function via my home network. The tech support guys went through all the settings through my computer about 5 or 6 times. They pointed to my modem so I replaced it. They then pointed to my router, so I replaced it. They referred to my security settings, they changed them. Your final recommendation is now: 1. Re-initialize my speakers by unplugging and plugging the power cord back in. 2. If that doesn't

Pros
  • questions. With the new Bose Skill for Alexa, you can now control your SoundTouch speakers hands-free with any Alexa-enabled device - e.g. B. with an Echo Dot product older than 12 months.
Cons
  • Anything to add

The speakers sound great when they work.

When this speaker works, it's great! I have 5 of these speakers with a SoundTouch 20. However, they lose connection here and there so I have to reconnect them as if it were a new setup. Very frustrating. With every use there is a problem with at least one speaker and it is never the same speaker. I have very good wifi and I even have an amp upstairs but these speakers just don't perform as well as they should for the price. Also, the app stinks. If the connection to the main speaker is lost…

Pros
  • Part of a complete family of wireless multi-room speakers that grow with you. Audio formats supported: MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, Apple Lossless
Cons
  • Good, but not great
