Best 3rd party shock mount I've bought for a proprietary mic

Shure, Audio Technica) in the past. This shock is perfect for the Procaster and the included 20mm adapter is perfect for threading. Based on the photos I was initially concerned about the quality of the construction of the mount that connects the mic stand, but after receiving it I can say that it feels over-the-top and fairly solid. This is probably the nicest and most stable third-party shock mount I've ever used. Maybe there are better ones for the price but this one is good enough.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Nothing

Oh damn! **Update**

So, I take the mount out, unwrap it and am very glad my mic is in it, and suddenly the rubber band is a hair's breadth away from a click. I don't dare to install an expensive microphone. Very sad. Will you send me a new rubber band instead?_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_ /_/ _ / _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_ /_/ * *Update** The kind folks at Boseen sent me a replacement set of rubber bands to keep the device working as I expect it to. That's great customer service! The…

Surprisingly the g track pro doesn't fit but can be used

So this is a really good shock at a pretty decent price. The inner circle is too small to fit in the G Track Pro, although they are clearly visible on the Bing inside. I think I have to pull out the handles or something to get in that little circle but mine is then on the boom stand, u I usually have the mic hanging so I just flipped it and hung the G Track Pro at the base of the mountain , instead of placing it as it should be. Hopefully it makes sense, but it works perfectly and none of the…

  • Boring packaging

I bought this to use with the MXL 990 condenser microphone mentioned above. It's a big and heavy microphone. I bought it complete with a shock absorber which was junk. It couldn't support the weight of the mic without slipping, and the threads snapped when tightened. This shock absorber is better in every way. He doesn't slip. It attaches to the base of the microphone and includes the correct mount. I had to constantly play with the original shock absorber to fix the scope. I've never had to…

Sturdy, durable, perfect fit for my MXL V67, finally no ground noise

I spent a lot of time comparing dozens of different Revain mic mounts before deciding on this one. Ultimately, I chose this mount because the basket and mount are all metal. I also appreciated the fact that there is quite a long rubber cable between the mount and the mic holder parts. a longer cable corresponds to better vibration dampening. A set of multiple adapter screws was also a nice touch; One of them fits my MXL V67 perfectly and holds the mic very firmly on the base. The adjustment…

Was the item poorly packaged and appears to be used?

Item works as intended but the actual microphone mount blocks easy access to the Samson G-Track Pro controls. The dials are still usable, but it takes a bit of finesse to get the controls right. Some of the ports on the back are still used, but some are blocked. I've included photos at the end to show what I mean. My personal issue was that it didn't come in its original packaging and appears to have been used. I have attached photos of the packaging I received. Everything on the list was…

Fits Neuman TLM 102 but requires rubber grommets for tight fit

One of the four union nuts provided fits Neuman TLM 102; However, you will need to purchase four 1 ¼ inch grommets (#18) and attach them to the nut (like a set of compression washers) to secure the mic to the Boseen shock. Without the grommets, the mic just wobbles like a loose tooth. Otherwise this shock absorber is perfect. In fact, I think it outperforms the original Neuman shock. The Boseen mount comes with two replacement rubber straps. These straps are at least three times the diameter of
