Sounds Good - Car Audio

Sounds great for a flat mount subwoofer, fits under the seat of a 2010 F150 SCrew and adds lots of bass to the audio system. Not the quietest and hardest but for any adult with kits who just needs some good bass it works great it won't rattle your neighbors windows but it will put a smile on your face once installed, after riding stock for a while!

Can't beat the price you pay

For the money this is the best speaker I could ask for. I have a subwoofer installed in my registration cab truck, so I need a flat speaker, but I prefer the performance of a regular subwoofer, and without breaking the bank to make it absolutely perfect. Boss Audio's Phantom line seems to be the best. I haven't had much luck with anything else they do, but I've had phantom speakers for a long time and they haven't blown or started wheezing.

BOSS D10F Phantom Component Subwoofer

My bass needs in my car have changed over time. When I was younger I wanted a chunky stereo that would rumble around town. These days I just want some bass to fill the void left by tinny little car speakers. These flat subwoofers do a great job. I drive a Crew Cab F-250, had limited space and didn't want to spend a lot of money. When I received the package, one of the speakers had a blown voice coil. I sent it back and got a new one from Revain. At the moment I have 2 installed and they work…

Awesome speaker -

I brought some old mothball speakers to put in my garage/gym. The speakers and tweeter have seen better days so I decided to replace them as cheaply as possible. These Boss speakers aren't the cheapest subs out there, but given that a premium model can cost $300, they're an incredible bang for your buck. They are built like a tank. After lighting them I was amazed at how powerful and effective they were. After putting them through the press for a year (I hear louder music through them than my…

Sleeping submarines. suitable for automotive electronics

I connected 2 of these to a Boss IMP2000 monoblock amplifier housed in a flat wedge shaped case. When I first installed and tested it, given all the great reviews on here, they didn't sound too impressive. Even when everything was upside down, they looked very weak. Let's just say I wasn't impressed. I tried playing around with the equalizer settings on my head unit but got nothing. A few days later I decided to drill a 1" hole in my case. I'm not exactly sure if it was the holes I drilled or…

What to expect, how to get the most out of them and what you need to do it.

Read before you buy. All of these subwoofers are not only great subwoofers for beginners, but also suitable for some more expensive setups. Most of the incidents you will encounter have to do with matching the RMS value of your amplifier to the RMS value of your subwoofer. If your amp puts out 500W RMS and you're using a 1400W subwoofer, it will burn out, as will your wires to the amp, wire 0/1. Another recommendation would be to let the subwoofers "inflate". Don't turn them up as loud as you…

Took just over a year

I thought I wrote a review about it shortly after purchasing it but I don't seem to. I bought it because I needed a low profile subwoofer that would fit behind the bench seat of my regular Tacoma cab (Scosche SET10CC box). Fits perfectly in the box. I tuned it to c'fields instructions and it sounded great for almost a year. Lately I've started noticing a bit more hum from the bench, but I've just been listening at a lower volume and haven't driven the truck for the past month. Anyway, I finally

Defective on arrival on vehicle and vehicle electronics

Terribly disappointed. I mean, it's a $30 subwoofer, but all it is is a $30 paperweight. this happened *before* the item was packed), which is similar. Not that big of a problem actually, soldering a new terminal isn't that difficult. That's the principle. The BIG thing is the sub itself is jammed. I don't know how they did it, but this thing isn't moving. Do you know how you can usually press the center cover lightly to check the edge movement? Yes. He doesn't move. Somehow (I assume) the…

Very impressed - have a good return!

These are very impressive subwoofers for the price. I'm sure most of you know that BOSS inflates their RMS ratings on just about everything. I can't tell if they're overpriced (probably, honestly, I don't think they can handle 400W RMS each), but I CAN tell you that I run them at around 150-200W RMS each (I have, it there 2) and I get a strong, clear sound from them. They come in a vented box and sound great! Especially for the price - very impressed! I've only had them for about 3 weeks but so
