I bought two of these. One for each of my 70-80 pound dogs. Each is installed on either side of my front garage. One crammed into good dirt/grass feels great. The other one, driven into the dry mud, looks like it might eventually come loose, so I'll have to keep an eye on it. So they're only as good as the dirt they're thrown into. I chose this stake because it looks well made. Overall happy with it but was disappointed that the powder coating chipped off during installation. I tried pounding it into the ground with a rubber mallet first and then switched to a soft-faced rubber mallet, which still didn't help, so I ended up using a 3 pound hand hammer drill with a rag over the stake and it has it. but the fur has chipped off, which is frustrating.
