My dog, a 75 pound Australian Cattle Dog, saw a bird, freaked out, pulled hard and bent the stake in one jerk. I live next to a busy road and needed something for those occasions when I wanted my dog to go outside between walks - this product does not inspire confidence. look elsewhere Edit/Update: I forgot to mention that this anchor was driven into hard clay soil, not just loose topsoil, and after flexing the main body of the anchor, the angle of thrust changed and it was pulled out in another lunge.
