Very difficult to open as it opens outwards. The picture on the outside of the box is deceptive as it shows a slider. Also, I've had mine for 9 months now and both latches are pretty badly rusted and even harder to open. The cord is also constantly tangled.

Great tie, but there is a problem: the clasps on both ends are very strange and difficult to untie. Unlike regular clips that open inward or slide sideways, these clips open outward and aren't as easy to use. A heavy spring keeps the clips tightly closed, leaving little room to open.
