Hopefully a defective unit that can now no longer be returned.

Misfire gr. Every 10 nails there were misfires, using it is like Russian roulette. I chalked it up to driving 2 inch nails into 3/4 thick hickory and then into the Advantec sub floor. Now I'm trying to use and finish it on a finished white body. The same situation every 5 or 10 nails. I don't have a misfire but a huge almost double hole where the nail was driven. I've had it for six weeks now and it's impossible to get it back. Contacted Bostitch about a possible replacement.

WOW - flawless. for nailers and staplers

I had a Bostitch nailer over 20 years old that was beginning to jam. Tried to fix. declined and bought this new model. WOW. Over 100 feet of tongue and groove ceiling had to be replaced. The much smaller tip of this new nailer makes driving nails easier. Not a single misfire, not a single jam. The consistency of the depth of the nail is present. Surprisingly light. The purchase is worthwhile. My only concern is that my old Bostitch had a big rubber boot on top. Which when hammering a pine chuck

Good tool at the moment: nailer and stapler

I'm not a professional but I'm quite experienced. I used a nailer on 3/4 red oak floors, 2" nails straight through the surface, no problem. Base and door strip made of poplar wood, no problem. Lightweight, easy to use and easy to set up. When I bought it, I saw the fold-out stud guide and thought "stupid" - wrong! Ridiculously handy when installing the socket (again, not "pro"). Further down the "non-professional" section, a few reviewers gave it low marks because of the nails. Firstly because…
