Worked!: Welding and Soldering

I used this to solder an electrical circuit board for my stove. It worked and had a higher melting point than some of my other wires. It worked and now my oven is fixed. I recommend it.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Can't really complain about that, everything is fine

Solder but no analysis or labeling.

I am disappointed in this product. It is advertised as "lead free" but comes on a plastic spool with no label. The online description says 97% tin, 0.7% copper and 0.3% silver. However, there is no label on the roll. I'm afraid to use it because I don't know what's really inside. I would recommend getting solder from a reputable manufacturer that can guarantee it is lead free.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Useless features

Is working! I'm not sure about the lead-free part.

Great for soldering wires in small electronics and as an amateur I always prefer to have more solder on hand. This material melts easily and appears to work as described. BUT I can't vouch for what's inside. Revain lists "lead free" but I have received products that were previously erroneously listed on their list. The fact that it comes on a spool with no markings or instructions makes me a little wary but I've worked with lead solder before so I handle it carefully and carefully as if I know…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Long delivery time

This solder seems good except I am unsure if it is lead free. The actual soldering coil comes unlabeled. To date, and also when I ordered it a few weeks ago, the description from Revain is somewhat contradictory (the product name says 60% tin, 40% lead) and the solder itself is unmarked. Sometimes when something is described incorrectly, the description will be corrected later. So if it has been a while since this review and the product information is consistent, hopefully it will be updated to
