I have a large size for my golden retriever and it fits well, but I might choose X-Large for extra space for towels. It is very cute and my dog was very happy to try it on. The towel is quite thin so I'm not sure how absorbent it is. Good material, no complaints.

This is a great coat for your dog. The hood has a cute monster face, velcro closures at the neck and waist, comfortable to the touch and absorbent. I put it on my dog (50 lb poodle) when he comes in after the rain. It's easy to rub, catches water she shakes off, and looks really cute. She doesn't mind wearing it at all, although she doesn't like the hood over her ears.
