Super easy installation. The ball joint mount at the end of the gas strut is angled slightly, probably for hood mounting, which is the opposite of the factory setting. However, I still installed the gas cylinder end of the strut down and had no problems.

I was able to hold the hood with one hand and with the other hand remove and replace the old pillars. Snap-in fit and excellent compression. Keeps the hood fully open. Will definitely buy again if needed. The durability rating is only a '3' as this is a brand new item and has not been used long enough to determine its lifespan.

Thank you BOXI for an amazing product to replace my 2012 Hyundai Sonata. Replacing these racks couldn't be easier. Just make sure you have a small enough flathead screwdriver and you're good to go! I say small because the big flatheads are too big for the slot you put them in to remove the old spacers. Don't think twice about quality. Now it's A+++. My car's hood lifts and stays up like it should. Very easy and highly recommended.

Not for mechanics. I watched a YouTube video on installation. The end result is great and the installation took no more than 15 minutes. The problem I had was that my screwdriver was too big so the spring clip came out on one side but not the other. To solve this problem I used a large wrench to hold the plastic end in place and needle nose pliers to tighten the clip on both sides.
