Took me 2 minutes per side

It might be a high estimate, a small flathead screwdriver, maybe a 3 foot stick to support the hood. The old ones popped out instantly, the new ones popping up with no effort. Slide the small clips into place and you're done. Seriously, maybe it took 5 minutes. The hood stays on and all is well.

Pros
  • Shocks, Struts and Suspension
Cons
  • Without Machine Gun

Perfect fit for 2008 G35 sedan

It took longer to find a stick to hold the hood than to change the struts. It's easier to install. Find a screwdriver with a tiny flat blade to remove the spring clips from the old ones and simply slide the new ones onto the ball studs. The hood now stays up and strong, but it's definitely not difficult to close.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

A good option; worked fine

These were fairly cheap replacement parts (didn't look elsewhere so no real price comparison) and seemed to do the job holding the hood up. Installation was easy, but removing the clips was quite tricky - one of the metal pieces came off completely when I tried to undo them, making it stressful and a lot more difficult; I feel like it's impossible if you just follow the instructions.

Cons
