Slips through stitches

Boye is my favorite brand of hooks. They are a comfortable weight and never hang from the yarn. They also fit well in my hand. I have a new set of ergonomic hooks and an adapter for my old hooks, but I'm going back to the boys aluminum hooks. I would recommend to anyone who likes to crochet.

Pros
  • H/8 (5mm), I9 (5.25mm) and J/10 (5.75mm) Hooks in this pack
Cons
  • Great price

Good price. Great hooks!

As someone who teaches crochet, I prefer these crochet hooks for teaching students. The hooks are not cut too sharply to easily split the yarn; The metal slides easily over the stitches and the handles are long enough for old hands to hold the hooks comfortably. The 3 hook sizes are most commonly used for yarns that are available to students. I would highly recommend Boye Haken to all my students.

Pros
  • Smooth and easy to use and inexpensive to buy
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Boye hooks are rounded at the top, while Susan Bates hooks are slightly tapered at the top. Boye is a pioneer among the hooks. They were…
