Does not work with DR-44WL.

I have an old DR-40 that is starting to fail. I bought a new DR-44WL to replace it. I assumed the threaded hole location was the same, but it isn't. I had to resort to Velcro to attach the battery to the DVR. WE DO NOT ACCEPT. The rest of the battery seems to be of good quality.

Pros
  • USB-DC cable for universal use.
Cons
  • Many things.

It works. I got 3 hours from 6 pathetic AAs.

Works. Got 3 hours from Dollar Tree on 6 pathetic AA batteries. I mean look cheap. Rschunimagu. I tested Tascam dr60dmkii. 16bit, 48k, wav. 3 hours 5 minutes. Audio Technica at875r and Takstar SGC 598 with phantom power. I wish I had had 4 hours but no luck. For my Tascam DR40 - 4 hours with 1 microphone. Mandatory. Tascsm really needs to rebuild it to fit 10 batteries. Therefore I can only give 4 stars.

Pros
  • Easily attaches to portable devices Tripod mount
Cons
  • Vulgarity

A must-have accessory for anyone using phantom power!

When using phantom power, all you need is an external power supply. In my experience, plugging in a pair of Shure KSM141 mics during a session barely has enough power for 1-1/2-2 hours of session, even with the built-in battery on! That being said, they REALLY only need to sell USB to coax cables so you can use millions of rechargeable batteries for the cell phone market. I plucked up courage and used the cable with my 20,000mah battery and it worked flawlessly - a 2 hour session used almost no

Pros
  • Designed for use with TASCAM portable recorders, particularly the DR-40
Cons
  • High price
