DO NOT PUT IN THE FREEZER! Before I could even say anything, I had to say it. There was always a strong lick from above. not a very good seal. The large opening makes drinking and cleaning easier. The bad news is that if you want to drink very cold water or juice use a different bottle as after a few weeks this bottle cracked and is no longer good. OK while it lasted.

Very uncomfortable to be honest the screw cap is hard although I like the colors and it's a durable bottle, I try to use it daily as a replacement for a hydroflask but it's no play, especially while driving, it's hard to open, I bought a light spout, and it's hard to guess where the hole is ;) but for $12 I can handle it, I can see it is great for hiking, walking/climbing because it's light!

I make iced tea by filling it with tap water and putting a quart iced tea bag in it before bed. I then leave it on the counter or in the fridge and add ice the next morning. I just got this so I don't have much experience with it yet but so far I love it! It holds plenty of water (yes, but you won't know until you try it), it's airtight, easy to use, and can even be used as a heating pad on cold nights! What more can you ask for? As I write this review, I am surprised that I have had a bottle of Nalgene water for about a year. I assure you that with regular washing this bottle will not let you down. I dropped it onto the pavement from 10ft when it was full and all that was left was a scratch (if anything, it's just battle scars). UPDATE: Just received the bottle of Nalgene I ordered to replace this. The plastic wrap on the replacement bottle peeled off easily, making it nearly impossible to remove the wrap on this obviously defective bottle. and it was impossible to remove them without damaging the appearance of the bottle. Wide neck is convenient for spill-free filling, but the lid doesn't push out, just screw on. . It is a very durable plastic and comes in multiple colors and sizes. This particular one (36 ounces) is oversized for a standard bike bottle cage but great for hiking or camping. It also has a volume mark on one side so you can see how much is in it or how much you've drunk.
