I bought these to smooth and add texture to my sculptures. They work, but I got very frustrated to find small pieces of runner sticking out along the long seam right at the tip of all the brushes. It was very uncomfortable because as soon as he touched my clay, he drew lines on it.

I bought these for a specific purpose and they didn't work. I give 4 stars because they seem durable and arrived quickly. I am adding an edit to my previous review. I've started using them for blending and leveling oil pastels and they work great. The tips are soft enough to look like brushes. I love it!

These tools are quite large, I use them for modeling with wet clay and sometimes they are a bit bulky for precision work. A few of them are not smooth and have small gnarled bits sticking out of them. You don't see them until you try to smooth the surface and they don't leave a groove. I have these higher quality tools but I bought them individually which isn't cheap. I use them more often and keep the big ones in my tool box.

The rubber tips weren't smooth, mainly at the tip/edge, which I think is crucial for detailing. So the most basic thing is what to expect: they are gigantic and much larger than expected. creased in a few places and definitely looks poorly made. The tips have defects that may need to be altered (requires heating and careful smoothing or reshaping). At large sizes, they are very uncomfortable and difficult to control or handle. I have several rubber tip shaping tools that I love and use all the time. Unfortunately, having owned it for many years, I can't remember where I got it from and there are no marks to indicate the original manufacturer.
