This gate is not suitable for dogs or cats. My dog is 21 pounds and has figured out how to get under them, the cats have done the same. That's why we need to put a piece of cardboard on the gate so that the animals can't go under it. Waste of money, we should have just gone with cardboard.

I love this retractable baby gate, it was very easy to install in a very short time. I like the included instructions to tell you where to drill and what the spacing is. It was also very easy to open and close. I find that the blocker becomes a bit unreliable after distribution. Other than that, it's great overall.

If you have read other reviews about this you might agree that people buy things for different reasons. Always read reviews, they will save you a lot of time. We use this gate to keep our dogs in tight spaces when we are away from home. It works well and does what it's supposed to. The processing quality is not outstanding, but more than acceptable for the price. I wish the kit had better drywall anchors as I had to use my own to ensure a secure fit. It's great that this goal can close such a big gap.

Safe enough for a small child, but a dog scratching hard can damage the net. The main advantages for me compared to normal children's gates: > the stroller can pass when it is open > there is no ground bar to trip over > there is no automatic lock (I wanted the dog to be able to pass easily , if it is open open). It was such a perfect purchase. It helped a lot to keep our small animals separate from our dogs.

Never use this type of gate for stairs. We got our heads pinned trying to fit underneath as the 'cloth' flexes a bit and clamps don't allow 'cloth' to be placed directly on the floor or step. But that's enough to block the hole. We had brackets that broke from kids trying to climb on it so it's not the strongest gate but just blocking the door will work. On the plus side, they are easy to open and close and take up very little space.

If you absolutely need a sliding gate, then this is a worthy option. I'm glad to have it, although I think it has a number of limiting factors that don't suit every buyer's needs. maybe not even for most buyers. The main issue for me is twofold: it only unfolds on the right side (which can make opening and closing certain spots weird), and the product is designed to attach to hardwood on either side (I have it on attached to drywall and will hold it as far as it is, but they specifically stated
