For the most part this is a pretty solid car phone mount. However, the X-Grip holder has some limitations. First, it doesn't fit my Samsung Galaxy S3. Or at least it doesn't hold it, as suggested in the holder's instruction manual. The recommended use of the holder is to press the tab and slide the top tab up, place the phone in the bottom tabs (which are NOT ADJUSTABLE btw) and press the top tab to lock it in place. I originally bought these for my wife to put in her car so she would have a mount for her iPhone. If your automatic shifter and cigarette lighter plug are in the middle of the car then forget it, it won't fit. So I moved it to my van where the loose change was on the collar no problem it fits. Another thing is to force it to stay connected to the port so that it maintains a continuous charge.
