Roof blown off after 3 trips

I'm concerned they pose a safety hazard. Followed directions to the letter and on one of our rides our solar panels exploded shortly after the 3rd or 4th ride. I don't think anyone got hurt. If you buy these I highly recommend using extra tape and/or screws.

Pros
  • Widespread corner mount
Cons
  • unreliable

I bought them to install three solar panels on the roof of my RV. The roof was found to have a slight camber and these panels will not work on a cambered roof. Check the area where you plan to mount the panels. When it's flat, these are the best mounting brackets in my opinion. much stronger than aluminum "Z". They are strong, well made and perfectly match the frame of the panel. Highly recommended for RVs with FLAT ROOF.

Pros
  • Easy and flexible installation
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Strong fortification! good for solar and wind power

I like the idea of not interfering with the roof of my cargo trailer with screw holes. However, I was less than thrilled with the "glue" holding the roof mounts for the 240W solar panel. Their size is about 4.25 by 3.5 feet. I bought some extra side pieces to hold the long side of the panel just to give it a better feel. The system works very well. When it healed I went out and tried it. None of them moved! So far I've driven the trailer 1500 miles and all is good! The cable gland is also very…

Pros
  • Multiple protection for solar panel mounting brackets
Cons
  • ok
