Best Intermediate in Accessories & Consumables

While I think these cushions deserve their overall high marks, I think it's wise to point out that they're not the solution to all your headphone comfort woes. The "hybrid" design doesn't dampen bass and treble as much as velor, you'll likely notice a bit of a dull sound if you use them instead of leather. This can be compensated for with the equalizer above, but this is a very quick process and may not work in all applications. (This probably won't be a problem if you replace the velor pads.)…

SOUND QUALITY PROBLEM. Ruined the sound profile of the ATH-M50x.

PURPOSE: Replacement for AudioTechnica ATH-m50x as the stock pads are a bit stiff, flat and warm. I use the ATH-m50x for my electric guitar at night and for listening to iPhone AAC files. CONSTRUCTION: Strong stitching. Light. Soft terry cloth on head contact surfaces. Attention: Seams are slightly wavy and uneven. Slightly warped seams are noticeable when the headphones are lying on the counter. but I guess it doesn't matter if you get hit in the ears. Overall, it looks a little sloppy to me…

Increases the comfort of the ATH M50X from 5 to 10 while maintaining the sound quality!

I can't stress this enough. If you have an ATH M50X with stock pads, GET IT NOW! The original ear cushions, as many have said, are too small and heat up the ears very quickly. I've refrained from buying them at the same time as headphones, but people's feedback that they degrade sound quality got me thinking. A few days later I couldn't take the original pads anymore, they made my ears clogged and sweaty, gave me a headache after an hour of use and constant general malaise. I ordered them with…
